María Sánchez García (Guadalajara, Spain, 1985) visual and conceptual artist, also known as Pimienta Sánchez.
PhD candidate at Fine Arts University in Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Sociology and Communication Departament, investigating the relation between Art, artists, and Social Networks.

European Voluntary Service (EVS) in Eastern Ukraine during almost one year in Kharkiv. María worked at Municipal Art Gallery, Literature Museum, GENDERMUSEUM and many art exhibitions and initiatives in the city.
At the beggining of 2015, Maria started “#SaveGenderMuseum” as her personal final project for her EVS.

Since 2012 María Sánchez has participated in many conferences, proceedings and meetings about Art, Culture and Communication.

Since 2010, Official Board Member and Country Director at InMediTerraneum Internation Videoart Festival (IMT).

Collaborator with ARTifariti, International Art and Human Rights Meeting in Western Sahara.

Since 2013, Regional Director in Castilla-La Mancha of “Miradas de Mujeres” National Art Festival, Spain.

She has worked as a Community Manager in IMT, ARTifariti, intransit (Young Artist Platform), Foro_Sur_Caceres_2013 (International Art Encounters), LabLatino and many other private companies.

She has also followed different courses and lectures in other european educational centers like Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design of London and Université de France.
